Poppy Campaign

On behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 261, I would like to thank all the people that gave of their time and efforts to help set a NEW record by collecting over 18,000.00 in donations during the 2009 Poppy Campaign. Also, with the support of the Tecumseh 35th Scout Group, RCACC #1112 Cadets and students from our 16 area schools, we were able to reach this new level during Branch 261's 75 Anniversary Year. A big Thank You to the Town of Tecumseh and East Windsor's merchants, large and small, for supporting Branch 261 Poppy Fund by permitting Poppy Boxes inside or Volunteers outside their places of business for the distribution of Poppies.

This generosity will help the many worth-while causes that The Poppy Trust Fund handles every year. Like programs for Veterans, their dependents, Youth activities, Parkwood and Westminster Hospitals. This is an independent fund and under the direction of the Branch within the limits of Dominion and Provincial Commands.
